Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Fall 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/20/2022
Securing the final victory of the club’s second dynasty in franchise history after defeating the New York Rangers, the Montreal Canadiens earned it’s fourth-consecutive Stanley Cup championship in 1978-79, with Guy Lafleur and Jacques Lemaire leading the Habs in playoff scoring, with each plotting 23 points. This Montreal photo album has been team-signed by the 1978-79 Canadiens. Picturing team captain Yvan Cournoyer posed with Lord Stanley’s hardware on the cover, the 48-page booklet includes 26 signers, with the majority signing on their respective biographical page, including HOFers Dryden, Bowman, Lafleur, Cournoyer, Lapointe, Savard, Robinson, Shutt, Gainey, Lemaire and Rod Langway, along with Ruel, Larocque, Engblom, Mondou, Risebrough, Lambert, Tremblay, Houle, Jarvis, Lupien, Chartraw, Larouche, Connor, Hughes, Napier and one other. The signatures present beautifully, with light to moderate wear to the album including along the spine. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
