Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Setting a then-NHL record for most wins during the regular season with 45, the Montreal Canadiens would be triumphant in over 85% of their regular-season games in 1955-56 en route to their first of five consecutive Stanley Cup championships. From the genesis of the sport’s greatest dynasty, we have a framed display that features a sheet multi-signed by members of the 1955-56 Habs along with a matching vintage Molson 8” x 10” team photo. At approx 5 ½” x 6”, the multi-signed sheet is inserted beneath a solid blue matte below and appears to be a folded envelope with ink on the reverse, with 7 Canadiens pencil signatures including Toe Blake, Jean Beliveau, Jacques Plante, Dickie Moore, Jean-Guy Talbot, Ken Mosdell and Jack LeClair, along with Detroit’s Red Kelly. The signatures display admirably despite the Beliveau being “bunched-up”, with light wear to the Molson photo, framed to full dimensions of approx 12 ½” x 17”.
