From the strike-shortened season of 1994, we have a Montreal Expos jersey worn by superstar Moises Alou while the club dominated the National League, with this example featuring the desirable MLB 125th anniversary crest. A label from Russell with “46” sizing sits over the front left tail, along with a 2” “extra length” fly tag. Styled with “Expos” fully administered in tackle twill across the chest in attractive script along with “18”, the pin-striped button-up has been accented with “Alou” and “18” over verso in matching material, with an Expos team patch over the left sleeve and the MLB 125th anniversary crest over the right. A “Purchased from Montreal Expos” stamp also appears over the inner left front tail.
With just heavy pilling over the reverse left shoulder, the jersey remains fairly clean with no dirt staining or discolouration. Screen captures from a June 27th game in 1994 against the Braves shows correct placement in terms of name, number, and patch placement on the front and reverse of the jersey, especially when using the pinstripes as a point of reference. Alou was an NL All-Star in 1994, finishing 3rd in NL MVP voting, while also winning a Silver Slugger award.
