Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Leading his Minor Midget AAA club to a GTHL championship despite being underaged, Mitch Marner accomplished the feat with Vaughan in 2011-12, with this Kings captain’s jersey worn by the phenom as a 14-year-old that very season. An Oz Sports label is affixed to the collar, with the diminutive garment measuring-out to roughly a size 46. Featuring “Kings” across the chest in individual layered tackle twill letters, “87” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with alternate patches over each shoulder and a Canadian flag crest over the right breast. The jersey shows nice use with random marks visible along with red paint transfer over the upper and lower left sleeve. There is also a stain near the right armpit. Accompanying the jersey, we have a pair of Marner’s Vaughan Kings’ uniform socks (marks visible along with pilling), and his Kings’ equipment bag (with team logo). LOAs will accompany from our consignor stating that the bag and jersey were both gifted by Mitch’s dad.
We should note that Marner played for the Kings' Bantam AAA and Minor Midget AAA teams during the 2011-12 season, with the jersey possibly worn with either of those teams.
