Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2022

A New York Islanders draft choice in 1976, Mike Hordy concluded his professional career in the AHL with Maine for a pair of seasons in the early-1980s. Attributed to the 1983-84 Calder Cup championship season, we have a Mariners jersey worn by the Thunder Bay native, accompanied by a framed photo of Hordy during his time in Maine. With no tagging affixed to the collar and measuring-out to a size 56, an embroidered CCM crest with R has been placed over the reverse hem. In Philadelphia Flyers colours, the attractive jersey features layered tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Hordy” across the nameplate in single black twill. A dual-clasp fight strap has also been utilized. Great use is shown with numerous dark marks/stains over the front along with a few faint burns to the sleeves. There are also two team repairs near the left elbow. The photo is 8” x 10”, framed to 10” x 12”, with a signed LOA from Mike Hordy to accompany.
