Joining the NHL along with the Buffalo Sabres during the league’s second expansion in 1970, the Vancouver Canucks are 10-time Division champions, with 3 Stanley Cup finals appearances including most recently, in 2011. We have a Canucks game-worn jersey from the mid-1970s. A Rawlings label with “52” sizing is affixed to the collar, with this type of labeling dating the sweater to circa-1974. Featuring the hockey stick team crest that saw use until 1978 fully administered in layered tackle twill, “35” appears over the sleeves and verso in single white twill, with the loop-style fight strap intact. Possibly worn by a few individuals that donned the #35 including Ed Dyck (1973-74), Bruce Bullock (1974-75) and Curt Ridley (1975-76), there is some minor discolouration and scuffing to the team crest along with a small repair. There is also a material run over the left elbow, along with some light staining to the reverse numbers.
As mentioned, Ed Dyck wore the #35 at some point during the 1973-74 season (as shown on the team photo on this listing). Bruce Bullock also wore the #35 in 1974-75 (he was called up in December of 1974. He started a game on December 8, 1974 in Detroit and was a backup goalie until being sent back to Seattle). Both Dyck (5'11", 165 pounds) and Bullock (5’7”, 160 pounds) were small goalies, and past sales of Dyck jerseys show him wearing size 52. There is also a possibility that Curt Ridley who wore the #35 in 1975-76 wore this jersey as well, although Ridley was 6' 180 pounds (Ridley played 4 games on the road after he was acquired by Vancouver on January 20th 1976).
