A long-serving captain for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Mats Sundin is currently the Leafs' all-time leader in goals and points. Drafted first overall by the Quebec Nordiques in 1989, Sundin would also represent his native Sweden on numerous occasions throughout his career, winning an Olympic gold medal in 2006. Up for grabs here, we have this stick used by Sundin as a member of the Maple Leafs in the early-2000s. A CCM GrooveLite model wielded by Sundin in both the 1999-2000 and 2000-01 seasons specifically, “Sundin” has been stamped over the upper shaft with the stick retains Mats’ tape job of heavily soiled white over the knob (with holes having been drilled into the butt end) that displays a handwritten “13” identifier on the front side in black ink and black over the blade. Exhibiting excellent game-use, darkening is seen throughout the middle part of the shaft, getting light towards the top and bottom while various marks/abrasions are seen over the lower shaft, heel and both sides of the blade tape including small tears. Additionally, Sundin has signed the forehand side heel of the stick with a blue marker ink signature that appears light, especially on the dark background.
