Gorgeous 10-karat gold creation commemorating the Montreal Alouettes' 1974 Grey Cup championship was presented to Marv Luster, who capped a 14-year Hall of Fame career with his only CFL championship. Als quarterback Sonny Wade came on in relief to win top player honors as Montreal downed the Edmonton Eskimos 20-7 in the 62nd Grey Cup game in Vancouver. Magnificent championship ring by Jostens weighs approximately 29 grams and features a gold Alouettes logo set in the middle of a big red stone set in the tableau. "Grey Cup" appears in raised gold letters on the outside edge of the upper bezel, with "Champions" along the bottom. An inner edge of the bezel has "Montreal" along the top in raised letters with "Alouettes" along the bottom. The left shank displays Luster's surname engraved on a banner above a helmet in raised gold with the Alouettes' logo in blue and red enamel. Luster's position and jersey number, "DB" and "27", respectively, are engraved on a pair of banners at the bottom. The right shank features "1974" in raised gold at the top of a shield that has the game's result, "Montreal-20, Edmonton-7" engraved on it. Banners above and below are engraved "C.F.L. Football" and "Champions", respectively. "Jostens" and "10K" are stamped inside the 9 1/2 band. Proud wear shows in various scuffs, scratches and scrapes on the bottom of the band and a few nicks, dings and scratches throughout that do not diminish its display.
