A 10th overall draft pick with a pair of Stanley Cups under his belt, Martin Lapointe is currently the director of player development for his hometown Montreal Canadiens. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Lapointe in 1997-98. With Center Ice and Nike size tagging affixed to the collar, there’s also Nike and NHL crests on the bottom hem. Accented with tackle twill numbers and letters, this garment has the back name sewn directly onto the jersey. The team stamp sits on the inside hem, with the “Believe VK & SM” patch to honor Vladimir Konstantinov and Sergei Mnatsakanov over the right breast. The jersey also features a custom-shortened hem as well as sleeves, with the circumference of each sleeve brought in.
Visible game-use includes a number of dark marks on the lower front band and sleeves near the cuffs, along with large board burns and 4 team repairs spread evenly between both sleeves. With great use and worn during a Stanley Cup Championship season, this forever classic-style jersey will make the winning bidder rejoice.
