Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
As the team lined up to receive their gold medals and listen proudly as the American National Anthem blared from the loudspeakers… the Miracle on Ice was complete. We are proud to be able to offer Mark Pavelich's official Team USA training jacket worn for the Gold Medal presentation ceremony at the 1980 Winter Olympics. Made by Levi Strauss & Co. in size medium with their tagging in the neck reading "Made Exclusively for the 1980 USA Olympic Team", elastic knit can be found at the cuffs and waste with the zippers functional. Two small crests sewn on the right side read "Levi's" and "Ice Hockey" and the opposite breast displays an embroidered Team USA crest, with USA lettering on verso in white tackle twill with red accents. Kept by Mark Pavelich all these years, a signed LOA will accompany from the gold medal champion.
Surviving in wonderful condition, there is a small hole beneath the waistband of the pants, with some loose threading and pilling also present.
