An AHL All-Star in 1990-91 with Binghamton, Mark Laforest saw action in over 100 NHL contests split between four clubs including Toronto and Detroit, and later coached minor hockey after retiring. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the Welland native in 1985-86 during his rookie season, where he appeared in 28 regular-season contests. Measuring-out to a size 50 and with a partially-detached Maska label affixed along the collar (with born-on date tag of “85 10”), an Eastside crest appears embroidered on the reverse hem. Styled with the classic winged-wheel team crest with embroidered detailing, “31” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single twill, with the Red Wings 60th anniversary patch sewn to the left shoulder. The sleeve cuffs have also been opened and customized. Heavy game-use is visible with considerable wear to the material throughout including pilling, there are also a few small stains present, with a trio of small team repairs beneath the reverse band.
