Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Leading Team Canada to victories at the 1987 Canada Cup and 2004 World Championships, one of Mario Lemieux’s crowning achievements was winning gold with his beloved homeland at the 2002 Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City. Originating from the Tommy Plasco collection, we have a stick used by the superstar at the prestigious event. A Nike Quest model in Team Canada colours, “M. Lemieux” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, along with a hologram affixed to the underside from Double Deke Hockey. The original tape is in place on both the blade and handle, with light but definite use exhibited, with some minor wear to the blade and lower shaft. Considering the Team Canada factory graphics, this stick would display beautifully with other international hockey items. Comes with a COA.
