First representing Canada internationally at the 1983 World Junior Tournament, Mario Lemieux has donned the sacred maple leaf on numerous occasions, winning gold at the Canada Cup, World Championships and Winter Olympics. From the gold medal winning 2002 Winter Olympics is this Mario Lemieux signed Team Canada captain’s jersey. A pro on-ice jersey made by Nike, size “56” labeling is affixed to the inner collar with the original tags hanging below. Styled on the front with a vintage style Team Canada crest in layered tackle twill with the captain’s “C” over the left breast. Lemieux’s “66” is stitched to the sleeves and verso in dual-layer tackle twill with “Lemieux” spelt out in single layer white letters across an affixed twill nameplate. Patches of the familiar Hockey Canada crest reside over the shoulders. Lemieux has signed the first back number “6” with a gold ink signature that displays beautifully. A WGA hologram is found at the bottom of the number and comes accompanied by a matching COA.
