Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
An institution in Canada for more than half a century and originally constructed during the height of the Great Depression, Maple Leaf Gardens was the brainchild of Conn Smythe, and served as the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs as well as a venue for concerts, political rallies and general sporting events. Celebrating the iconic building, we have an oversized MLG “Memories and Dreams” photo signed by four legendary deceased Hall of Fame members of the Toronto Maple Leafs. At 16” x 20” and picturing the Gardens during it’s heyday in the 1930s, “1931-1999” appears along the base, with Allan Stanley (D.2013), Ted Kennedy (D.2009), Red Kelly (D.2019) and Johnny Bower (D.2017) all signing in blue sharpie, with the signatures presenting well and light wear to the photo itself including some very minor and barely noticeable spotting over the bottom left. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
