Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Securing his 668th and final NHL goal in 2005-06 after 19 NHL seasons, Luc Robitaille would also make Los Angeles Kings franchise history that very season, scoring a hat trick vs Atlanta on Jan 19, 2006, to surpass Marcel Dionne as the club’s all-time goal leader. Hailing from that important contest, we have the Kings alternate captain’s jersey worn by the superstar on Jan 19th to surpass Dionne. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with Reebok and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with a textured Kings’ team crest with embroidered detailing, “Los Angeles” appears over the front band in tackle twill, with “20” over the sleeves and verso in matching material. A patch from MeiGray numbered “C04816” resides on the inside hem, with initials by equipment manager Peter Millar added. According to the population report, the jersey is the "Black Set 2 w/A - 1/19/06 Passed Dionne as LA Kings Goal Leader" specimen. Originating from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Luc Robitaille will accompany.
Exhibiting just very light game use with no obtrusive marks, there are a few faint burns visible over the right sleeve. We should also add that the jersey sports a 2004-05 tag, but was worn in 2005-06 and is listed on the 2005-06 MeiGray population report.
A portion of the sales from the Luc Robitaille personal collection will benefit the Echoes of Hope Foundation. Founded in 2007 by Stacia and Luc Robitaille, Echoes of Hope strives to awaken the spirit of hope in the lives of children, youth, and young adults in need by alleviating barriers and helping them reach their full potential.
