Gilles Gilbert made the move from Minnesota to the Boston Bruins for the 1973-74 season. Gilles was the starting goaltender during his fist year with the Bruins playing in 54 games with a record of 34-12-8 and a GAA of 2.95. His stats over the next two seasons were almost identical. This is the home white dureen jersey Gilles wore in 1975-76 and it is simply stunning. The circular state bicentennial patches that once sat up on each shoulder were removed by the team at the end of the season. These were replaced with this set of embroidered bear head patches and this jersey was recycled for the preseason and then a few games into the regular season in 1976-77. Heavy knit v-neck style by Wilson, tagged in the neck in size 52 (in ink). Two circular team repairs can be found on the body with another two on the left sleeve. A few stick marks here and there but overall this shirt is in incredible condition.
