Right when we've think we've seen it all comes this captivating player's contract between the Montreal Canadiens and the legendary Howie Morenz. Signed before the start of the ‘26-27 season, the deal calls for a $5500 salary for the great Canadiens' star. Howie earned every penny that season, firing 25 goals and finishing in third place in the scoring race behind Bill Cook and Dick Irvin, before taking the title the following season. The "Stratford Streak" signed the contract "H.W. Morenz" in fountain pen below the signature of Leo Dandurand, while another Hall-of-Famer, Joe Cattarinich signed as a witness. Completing the thought-provoking document is the signature of NHL President Frank Calder. Contract shows considerable handliing and two of the folds have partially worn through but the contract remains intact and represents a tremendous, tempting opportunity for contract enthusiasts.
