The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
With its striking vibrant colors, the Topps company's inaugural hockey card set is estetically considered the nicest of all post-war issues and a definite prerequisite to a serious card collection. This 60-card set features very few creases with the majority of the cards falling into the "VG-EX" grade. The key Gordie Howe card is one of the nicest and is a solid "EX" with just 4 fuzzy corners to mention. The Terry Sawchuk card would be similar if not for a dinged lower left corner and a couple of light surface scuffs. Lesser condition cards that should be changed to have a more uniform condition set are numbers 1, 2 and 60. An attractive set for collectors to consider or one that a dealer would have some fun with breaking up.
