The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Fabulous minor pro jersey dates to the 1972-73 season and was worn by Dave Woodley, a defenceman whose 8 pro seasons included stops in the CHL, AHL and WHL. Woodley appeared in 10 games for the San Diego Gulls in ‘72-73 before completing the season in Phoenix. This gorgeous white, blue and orange dureen jersey has an Olympic tag in the neck along with a size 46 fly tag while a faded General Athletic washing instructions tag is in the lower hem. "Gulls" across the front and the numbers on the back and sleeves are in tackle twill and sewn-on. "Woodley" in blue tackle twill letters is sewn on the white tackle twill nameplate which is then sewn on the back. There has been a number change; it appears as though the jersey once sported number "1". Tie-front style jersey is in outstanding condition with light game use; there are a few small light stains on the front and several spec-size stains at each elbow. A superb jersey from the ever popular Western Hockey League, it will come with a LOA.
