The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004

Canadiens legend and leader for the most memorable Oldtimers game of all-time, Guy Lafleur wore this vintage-style Habs jersey in the Heritage Classic in Edmonton. In the prelude to last November's historic outdoor game between the Canadiens and Oilers, the 2 team's alumni faced-off in an equally captivating encounter that highly intrigued Canada and the hockey world. Ti-Guy's CCM white knit jersey is size 56 and has the company patch and NHL logo on the rear hem. The inner rear hem displays a tag that includes the NHL and Meigray logos and reads "NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2003-2004 season". The Canadiens crest and vintage "V" are on the front. Decent 1-game use includes half a dozen black marks on the front and a nice black (likely hook!) mark on the right sleeve. Lafleur autographed the sweater twice; on the front right breast where he added "#10" and "HOF 1988", and on the tackle twill "1" on the back. Also included in the lot are the tuque and socks that Guy wore in the unforgetable game. The most desirable Canadiens game-used jersey from the event, this one was obtained directly from Guy Lafleur's son Martin. A LOA will be included with this tempting lot.
