The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Sensational vintage jigsaw puzzle sponsored by General Motors pictures members of the 1931-32 Stanley Cup champion Toronto Maple Leafs as well as "their" famous young announcer Foster Hewitt. This was the 1st Leafs team to win the Cup. The "Kid Line" of Jackson, Primeau and Conacher finished 1-2-4 in regular season scoring and then combined for 8 goals in a 3-game finals sweep of the Rangers. Conn Smythe, Frank Selke and Dick Irvin are also pictured along with Day, Bailey, Horner, Chabot, Levinsky and others. The puzzle itself measures 10" x 8" and has been nicely matted and framed in Leafs' colors with the names added at the bottom. Puzzle is in excellent condition with some light cracking which however is barely noticeable at arm's length. A superb display piece.
