Rare and intriguing are these pair of scoresheets from games 4 and 6 of the 1945 Stanley Cup finals between the Maple Leafs and Red Wings. They reveal stats that history books don't such as shots on goal and minutes played by each player. Game 4 saw rookie Frank McCool's record shutout string (he blanked the Wings in the first 3 games of the series) end in the first period, Ted Kennedy score 3 goals in a losing cause, and Detroit stave off elimination with a 5-3 win. Wings rookie Harry Lumley came up with 39 saves in game 6 as Detroit tied the series with a 1-0 overtime win on Eddie Bruneteau's goal. King Clancy refereed both games. Toronto ended up finally clinching the series with a 2-1 win in game 7 in Detroit. The yellow sheets measure about 14" x 12", have been folded down the middle but are in nice tear-free condition.
