Striking 10K gold ring was presented to Jim Pappin after he helped the Black Hawks claim the regular season championship in 1969-70. After being traded by Toronto to Chicago for Pierre Pilote and giving the Hawks 30 goals in his initial campaign in the Windy City, Pappin followed up with 28 in '69-70. Chicago and Boston actually each finished with 99 points but the Hawks had 5 more wins than the Bruins and were awarded the Prince of Wales Trophy. The face of the ring features a big cubic zircon surrounded by 12 diamonds and "69 NHL 70 Champions" in raised lettering. One shank features the famous Indian head Hawks logo along with "Chicago" and "Harmony" while appearing on the other are the American and Canadian flags and a raised image of the Wales trophy. "J. Pappin" is above and "Pride" below. The inside band is stamped "Josten 10K". The ring is size 12, shows moderate wear but remains in excellent condition. Worn with pride by Jim Pappin, this breathtaking treasure will be accompanied by his signed letter of authenticity.
