Excellent vintage official's outfit was worn by referee Luigi "Lou" Farelli who officiated in the NHL and various minor pro leagues in the late 1950's and early 1960's. The striped wool jersey is tagged in the neck by th Gerry Cosby company. There's also a size "46" tag and a "Dry Clean Only" tag. An 8" in diameter round white felt patch on the back features a tackle twill number "7". Sweater shows game use with interior pilling and more around the collar. Preserved in outstanding condition with a working zipper. Also included are Farelli's black trousers. A Tony's Tailors tag in the inner hip pocket includes Farelli's name and is dated 4-30-62. Cool, seldom seen referee's uniform. Please view the following lot for more interesting items from this collection.
