The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
After not sending a team to the World Ice Hockey Championships for 7 years, Canada returned to the international scene in 1977 when the IIHF allowed professionals to compete. This is the type of jerseys the Canadian team wore in Vienna, where they were hooted at and jeered in a violent and controversial championship round. The light knit red sweater was made by AK with a company tag in the neck indicating size 46. All logos, numbers and letters, including "Charron" on the white nameplate, are screened-on. Jersey shows light game use and remains in excellent condition with minor cracking/peeling to the logo on the front. Classic shirt is from the personal collection of Team Canada official Marvin Goldblatt and will be accompanied by his signed letter of authenticity.
