The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
The Canadian team assembled for the 1984 Canada Cup included future Hall-of-Famers Gretzky, Messier, Fuhr, Bossy, Bourque, Robinson, Goulet and Stastny. Led by Gretzky's 12 points and the inspirational play of John Tonelli, Canada reclaimed the championship trophy after seeing the Soviets skate off with it in 1981. As a team executive, Marvin Goldblatt received this marvellous gold ring. The half maple leaf logo on the front includes 6 small diamonds with 4 bigger ones below. Arched above the logo in raised letters is "Coupe Canada Cup". The shanks feature "19" and "84" while the inside band has a scripted "M. Goldblatt" engraved, along with "10K". The size 9 ring shows light wear and is in excellent condition. Mr. Goldblatt will sign a LOA that will be included with this great Team Canada memento.
