The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
The Canadian team assembled for the 1981 Canada Cup tournament featured established stars Lafleur, Perreault, Dionne, Robinson, Bossy and Trottier. They were joined by the likes of Gretzky, Coffey and Bourque for one of the most competitive international competitions ever. As a Hockey Canada official, Marvin Goldblatt received, like the players, striking gold rings. However, unlike the players' rings, Goldblatt features a diamond on the tableau beside the half maple leaf logo. Four diamonds are below while arched above is "Coupe Canada Cup". The shanks are inscribed "19" and "81". Engraving on the inside band includes a scripted "M. Goldblatt" and "10K". The size 9 ring is in excellent condition showing just light wear. A LOA signed by Marvin Goldblatt will accompany this superb international hockey memento.
