The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
The 1965-66 season was to be the year that Bobby Hull broke the 50-goal barrier once and for all and he got off to a fast start with three goals as the Black Hawks opened their season with a 4-0 win in Toronto. The date was Saturday, October 23rd and the victim was Johnny Bower. Hull scored two in the first period and completed his 14th career hat trick with this puck in the third. Glenn Hall made 21 saves for the shutout. The Converse Leafs game puck was gilt-coated to create a golden trophy with an engraved metal plaque. Bobby was on his way to a record 54-goal season and will sign a letter of authenticity that will be included with this terrific keepsake.
