The 1963-64 NHL season saw Bobby Hull lead the league in goals for the third of seven times in his career. Hull's 43-goal season featured a couple of 3-goal games including a rare true hat trick on Sunday, January 12, 1964 in a 6-3 home-ice win over the Red Wings. Down 1-0 after the first period, Hull and the Hawks struck for four second period goals with Bobby scoring his three in a little over six minutes, this puck beating Roger Crozier at 8:35 for career hat trick number 11. Chico Maki drew the lone assist. The Original Six era Hawks puck was gilt-covered and had an engraved metal plaque added, with however the wrong date! A letter of authenticity signed by Bobby Hull will accompany this splendid memento.
