The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Awesome lot includes 12 pieces and is highlighted by the silverware that Marcel Dionne collected at the end of his initial NHL campaign in 1972. The exciting Red Wings rookie potted 28 goals and 49 assists for a team-high 77 points and was awarded the Bruce A. Norris trophy as leading scorer. He received the Detroit Sports Broadcaster's Association's Best Rookie plaque as well as an MVP trophy from the Detroit Chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association. The tallest trophy was awarded by the Red Wing Travelers Club and was for being the most exciting Wing. The trophies are joined by two 11" high ceramic Dionne dolls and 6 wooden plaques, the majority of which are honorary affairs from his hometown of Drummondville, Quebec. The exception and highlight is Dionne's Drummondville Rangers Jr "A" championship plaque from 1967-68. All items are in excellent or better condition and were obtained directly from Marcel Dionne. Included will be a LOA.
