The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
Marcel Dionne's 1982-83 season was one marked by numerous individual milestones as the speedy center registered his 500th career goal, 700th assist and 1200th point while leading the Kings in scoring for the 8th straight year. Marcel set the NHL record with his 9th 40-goal season in February and then used this puck on March 17th to pot #50 and tie Guy Lafleur's mark of six 50-goal seasons. The Quebec Nordiques were the visitors at the "Fabulous Forum" and the crowd of 11,770 erupted when Dionne opened the scoring at 3:09 of the 2nd period. Dave Taylor assisted on the goal scored on Dan Bouchard. To cap off a great night, Dionne scored the game winner unassisted with just 38 seconds left in the 3rd as the Kings edged the Nords 4-3. The Kings Approved InGlasCo game puck (Viceroy slug) had a piece of white athletic tape added to the back with "50th - 17 March 83" written in ballpoint. In superb displayable condition, the awesome keepsake will be accompanied by Marcel Dionne's signed LOA.
