The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
One of the game's all-time leading scorers and playmakers, Marcel Dionne got his first taste of minor pro hockey as a 37-year old during the 1988-89 season, suiting up for 9 games with the Denver Rangers, New York's IHL farm team. Marcel donned #89 and contributed 13 assists in what would be his final season. This heavy mesh Rangers white home jersey is by CCM with a company tag in the neck with size "50" added in ballpoint and the CCM logo embroidered into the rear hem. The numbers and letters including "Dionne" in individual letters (no nameplate) are in blue and red tackle twill and sewn-on. Some brownish stains can be spotted on the right sleeve, by the "R" in Rangers and on the lower front, while some dirt marks and general filth is exhibited around the hem and on the back where the fight strap is sewn-in. The only such sweater that Dionne wore in the minors, it will come with a pair of game socks, an autographed CCM PPM 101 game stick and his signed LOA.
