The Marcel Dionne's Auction - October 2004
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/19/2004
In the midst of his most productive years, Marcel Dionne was called upon to represent his country at the 1981 Canada Cup tournament. Newcomers to the Canadian line-up included Gretzky, Bourque and Bossy while the star-studded squad also included Lafleur, Robinson, Potvin, Perreault and Trottier. Dionne did his part during his team's 6 games, scoring 4 goals and adding an assist and afterwards received this fantastic ring for his participation in the event. The table features the half maple leaf Team Canada logo surrounded by the inscription "Coupe Canada Cup". Four diamonds are embedded below. The shanks include "19" and "81" while the interior band is stamped "10K". The striking memento from a grand tournament in hockey history is size 12, shows light wear, but has been preserved in excellent condition. Marcel Dionne will sign a LOA that will accompany this beautiful keepsake.
