Awarding the Lester Patrick Cup to the league champions, the original Western Hockey League lasted just over 2 decades beginning in 1952, with the Vancouver Canucks winning the most titles. We offer a collection of 47 vintage hockey programs featuring the league, ranging from the late-1950s to mid-1970s. Teams include Seattle Totems, Vancouver Canucks, Phoenix Roadrunners, Portland Buckaroos, San Diego Gulls, Los Angeles Blades, Edmonton Flyers, Calgary Stampeders and others. 16 different programs feature Willie O'Ree in the line-up, with other stars in line-ups to include Harry Lumley, Bill Mosienko, Ted Green, Bert Olmstead (coach), Forbes Kennedy, Moose Vasko (also featured on the cover), Larry Cahan, Don Cherry, Gilles Villemure, Roy Edwards, Jack Evans and others. There is also a program in the collection from 1973-74 with the San Diego Gulls taking on team USSR, with Tretiak and Kharlamov in the line-up for the Soviets. Most of the programs have the line-ups intact, with moderate wear to the group overall, with some in better condition and some lesser.
