Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025

Bryan Trottier’s NHL debut in the 1975-76 season immediately showcased the makings of a
future legend. A gifted two-way center, Trottier went on to become the backbone of the New
York Islanders’ dynasty, leading the team to four consecutive Stanley Cup championships from
1980 to 1983. Over his decorated career, Trottier amassed six Stanley Cup titles (including two
with the Penguins), won the Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year, and claimed both the Hart
Memorial Trophy and Art Ross Trophy in 1979. His ability to dominate at both ends of the ice
cemented his status as one of the greatest centers in hockey history.
Offered here is an impressive example of Trottier’s coveted 1976-77 O-Pee-Chee rookie card
(#115), graded MINT 9 by PSA. Out of the 827 copies submitted to PSA over the years, this
pop-73 example is only bettered by nine others on the PSA population report.
The card is housed in a PSA holder that remains in great condition, free of any noticeable flaws.
