The first overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Auston Matthews has been the corner stone of the Maple Leafs franchise since the first moment he donned the blue and white, winning the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2017 and the Hart Memorial Trophy in 2022. Also winning the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy on three (3) occasions (2021, 2022 and 2024) and potting sixty-nine (69) goals during the 2023-24 season to beat his previous mark, offered here is this signed stick used by Matthews during the 2020-21 season in which he scored forty-one (41) goals to claim his first Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy as the NHL's leading goal scorer. A CCM JetSpeed FT4 Pro model stick with "Papi 34" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains Matthews' original white gripper over the handle/knob that is finished at the bottom with a single ring of white tape that has had "34" penned in black marker over the front side and a cross in matching ink over the back side. With the blade tape having been removed to facilitate Auston's flowing silver ink signature over the forehand side which displays without issue, the stick shows game-use via numerous marks and abrasions throughout the length of the shaft, lower shaft, heel and blade.
