Finishing fifth in the NHL in 1956-57, the Toronto Maple Leafs were led in points by George Armstrong, with Ed Chadwick winning 21 games. This was the last season Ted Kennedy, captain, and the individual many believe to be the best all around Leafs player as well as the NHL's all-time best face-off man. Teeder is one of the 12 Toronto Maple Leafs players from the 1956-57 squad to sign the offered stick. A Brown's Sports model, all 12 have signed one side of the shaft, including HOFers Horton, Kennedy, Duff and Pulford, along with Smith, Migay, Morrison, Thomson, James, Chadwick, B. Cullen and one other. Hank Goldup has also signed. Most of the signatures remain fairly bold and easily legible with the stick covered in a shellac to preserve the signatures. On the reverse shaft, there are decals with the players names positioned roughly where the signature corresponds on the opposite side of the shaft. There is also a decal with "1957 Toronto Maple Leafs" on the blade.
