Winning the fifth Stanley Cup championship in 1989-90 without The Great One, the Edmonton Oilers proved they were a solid team that could triumph despite the loss of the world's greatest player. This lot offers a collection of approx 1,410 Edmonton Oilers 35mm negatives from the late-1980s including 1988-89 and 1990-91 Stanley Cup playoffs. Included for 1988-89, there are negatives for the Oilers vs Gretzky and the LA Kings on March 12th, March 21st and April 9th (Game 4 Division semifinals vs LA). For 1989-90, there are negatives from Feb 18th vs Minnesota. For 1990-91, there are negatives from April 4th (Game 1 Division semifinals vs Minnesota), April 28th (series-clinching Game 6 Conference semifinals vs LA - including the overtime goal scored by Craig MacTavish) and May 10th (series-clinching Game 5 Conference finals vs Minnesota). As an added bonus, the lot also includes negatives from Dec 27, 1985 Oilers vs USSR.
