Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
Concluding his HOF career as the highest scoring European-born-and-trained player in NHL history, Jari Kurri was a member of five Stanley Cup championship squads with the Edmonton Oilers and represented his native Finland at every international level. Inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001, offered here is this "Frozen in Time" card of Kurri that was released as part of Upper Deck's 1998-99 release. Picturing Kurri over the front of the card during his final NHL season of 1997-98 as a member of the Colorado Avalanche, the presented offering is a "Tier 3 - Quantum Gold" example that is serial numbered "1/1" in silver foil over the left side edge. Sporting a die-cut design and taking of his achievement of becoming just the eight (8th) player in NHL history to reach the 600-goal mark for his career, the card is found in overall excellent condition with just light wear to the corners and edges as well as print line through the image of Jari on the front.
