Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
The Louisville Panthers lasted two seasons in the AHL and this No. 35 game-worn jersey from their 1999-2000 inaugural season displays goalie Scott Fankhouser’s surname on the nameplate sewn on the back. Fankhouser played one game for Louisville that season and the jersey has evidence of a long former nameplate. The AHL Panthers had six goalies that first season, with Richard Shulmistra appearing in 27 games, Ryan Bach in 11, Jon Hillebrandt in seven and Trevor Kidd in one, while Sean Gauthier wore No. 30. There is a team repair below the front collar seam. AHL patches are sewn on the back of the neck and on the right rear tail, to the right of the embroidered Bauer logo. A Fleur de Lys patch is sewn on the left shoulder and Florida Panthers patch sewn on the right. Bauer size 58 tagging is in the back of the neck and Caesars sponsor’s patch is sewn on the right breast. There are black marks on the Louisville Panthers crest on the front, which has more black marks and various thread pulls.
