Headlined by rookie cards for several of the greatest baseball players of all-time, 1954 Topps Baseball is further enhanced by a strong veteran roster as well as elements such as an appealing design and impressive checklist that has resulted in the release being one of the more timeless vintage baseball sets for collectors to chase down and add to their cardboard hoard. Offered here, we present this collection of thirty-nine (39) cards from Topps' 1954 baseball release. Paced by a group of five (5) PSA graded examples that includes the likes of #1 Ted Williams (PSA GOOD 2), #13 Billy Martin (PSA VG-EX 4), #20 Warren Spahn (PSA GOOD+ 2.5), #30 Eddie Mathews (PSA VG-EX 4) and #32 Duke Snider (PSA GOOD 2), it is also worth mentioning that all the cards are different except for a single duplicate of card #49 that pictures Ray Murray over the front. With all but there (3) of the raw cards found between numbers three (3) and forty-nine (49) on the checklist, the group of raw cards is found to be in an overall average condition range of VG-EX for their efforts and includes notables of 3-Irvin (VG-EX to EX - light corner wear), 7-Kluszewski (PR to F - creases), 14-Roe (GOOD - surface wear), 15-Rosen (VG-EX to EX - off-center), 17-Rizzuto (PR to FR - heavy crease through top right), 25-Kuenn (VG-EX to EX - corner wear), 35-Gilliam ("Authentic" - borders have been cut off) and 45-Ashburn (PR - red marker ink marks over the front).
