Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025

Playing just two games in the NHL for Boston in 2009-10, Jeff Penner spent his short career in the AHL. This Providence Bruins jersey was worn by the Steinbach native during the late-2000s. A Reebok label and size 58 tag is affixed to the collar, with AHL and Reebok patches placed over the reverse hem. Styled with a spoked wheel team crest similar to the Boston Bruins, "7" is sewn to the sleeves and verso, with bruin crests to the shoulders. We should also note that there is evidence of a former nameplate on the jersey. As Penner is not listed as wearing the #7 jersey during the regular season in the years he played with the team (2007-08 to 2010-11), this is most likely a pre-season/training camp jersey and is being offered as such. Sporting a few material pulls over the lower front, there are scrapes, burns and marks to the sleeves, with a few small slits to the left sleeve, as well as pilling to the interior and over the outer right sleeve.
