Learning the game in the development system of Jokerit in his native Finland before turning professional in Liiga with JYP Jyvaskyla, Samuel Helenius would be drafted 59th overall by the Los Angeles Kings at the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Also having worn the blue and white colours of Finland throughout his career thus far, offered here is this Team Finland jersey worn by Helenius during the 2022 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships, first during the canceled tournament in December of 2021 and then at the reboot in August of 2022. Made by Nike, size "56", "Made in Canada" and a Swoosh logo are all screened on to the inner collar above a sewn in "IIHF Authentic Collection" label. Sporting an IIHF patch over the reverse hem and an additional Nike logo over the right breast, the front of the jersey is decorated with a sublimated twill Team Finland crest that has been heat-pressed on while the sleeves and verso have had Helenius' number "20" added to them in dual layer sublimated twill numerals that have also been heat-pressed on. Of note, the numbers on the reverse have raised up a bit at the corners in some cases but are still firmly affixed. Displaying "Helenius" spelt out in heat-pressed on single layer twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the upper reverse, the jersey, featuring a fight strap on the interior and "Finnair" sponsorship patches over the sleeves, is void of a Nike Team Sports barcode on the interior. Exhibiting good game-wear, board burns are present over both sleeves, with a couple of the burns over the right forearm resulting in unrepaired holes. Also showing some light pilling on the interior around the fight strap, the jersey is photo-matched with Getty Image #1237436602 (December 26th, 2021 vs Austria - 2022 IIHF World Junior Championships) to the board burn between the numbers of the left sleeve and to Getty Image #1242560670 (August 17th, 2022 vs Germany - 2022 IIHF World Junior Championships Quarterfinals) to the same board burn between the numbers of the left sleeve.
