Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/18/2025
Finishing first in the National League with a 92–62 record, the Milwaukee Braves returned to the World Series for the second consecutive season, losing to Mickey Mantle and the powerful New York Yankees in seven games. The season was also noteworthy for the fact that the Braves set a Major League record which still stands for the fewest players caught stealing in a season, with 8. Featuring arguably the two biggest stars from the club, we offer 1959 Topps Baseball cards of Hank Aaron graded VG-EX+ 4.5 by PSA and Eddie Mathews graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Both cards present nicely with bright popping colours. The Aaron shows minor corner wear, with the Mathews slightly off-centered.
