Kelly Guard’s 2005-06 game-worn throwback jersey is a cool find in this trio of AHL Binghamton Senators gamers from the 2000s. Guard wore his gamer for the Retro Weekend games played on Dec. 9-10, 2005. The goalie started and played 20 minutes on the 9th, and started again and played the full game on the 10th. He signed in black marker on the back of the right shoulder of his No. 1 jersey that has his black twill number sewn on a large cream-colored square sewn on the back for that retro look. Ottawa Senators patch is sewn on the right shoulder and a B-Sens patch is sewn on the left shoulder. Gamer features a nice big felt “O” crest sewn on the front and a knit crewneck collar. Goalie style and size 58 flag tags hang below the AHL Reebok tagging inside the neck. There are several thread pulls and no other obvious game wear to report. The AHL 2008 All-Star Classic patch is sewn on the right rear tail of Geoff Waugh’s 2007-08 B-
Sens game-worn jersey, which has a number of thread pulls all over the front. Waugh signed in black marker on his No. 4 on the back. Date Issued “11/16/08” is handwritten in black marker on the team patch in the back of the neck below the AHL Reebok tagging and the size 58+ flag tag. Both sleeves display board burns and a number of unrepaired burn holes and there are marks below and to the right of the number on the back. Carkner’s 2008-09 black game-worn alternate captains’ jersey has “11/7/08” handwritten in black marker as the date issued on the 2008-09 team patch in the back of the neck below the AHL Reebok and size 58 flag tag. Game wear includes red paint transfer on the right sleeve, reddish-brown spot stains on the left sleeve and board burns with unrepaired holes on the back of the right shoulder.
