With a hockey history that actually goes back to 1894 when the school was still known as the College of New Jersey, the Princeton Tigers hockey program experienced their first official season in 1899-1900 and have gone on to make four (4) NCAA tournament appearances over that time. With Hobey Baker still recognized as the most famous Tiger in the program's history, suiting up in the school's orange and black colours between 1911 and 1914 and going on to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1945 as well as being the namesake for the annual award presented to the top college hockey player in the United States every year, offered here is this vintage NCAA Princeton Tigers jersey that dates to the mid-to-late-1960s/early-1970s. A durene knit offering made by Rawlings, a brand label displaying a size "50" designation is affixed inside the reverse hem alongside a washing instructions label that has also been sewn in. Void of a fight strap on the interior, the front of the jersey is decorated with "Princeton" in dual layer orange-over-white tackle twill letters that have been sewn on in a gentle arch while the sleeves and verso have been styled with the number "15" in matching style numerals. Of note, research shows that the number "15" was worn by Albert Meers from 1967-68 to 1969-70. Displaying overall good game-wear throughout, including a good sized team repair near the left hip over the front hem, stick/slash marks/scuffs are found over both sleeves and the lower front while a single small unrepaired hole is seen over each side of the body as well. Additionally, some material stretching is seen on the interior near the areas of both elbows while a fabric run is seen near the left cuff and pilling on the interior.
