A veteran of nineteen (19) National Hockey League seasons as well as one (1) WHA campaign with the Cincinnati Stingers between 1978 and 1998, Mike Gartner would find himself in the uniforms of the Washington Capitals, Minnesota North Stars, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Phoenix Coyotes over that time period before being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001. Scoring 708 goals over the course of his career to go along with 627 assists for 1335 total points, offered here is this stick used by Gartner during the 1984-85 season in which he posted single-season career highs in goals (50), assists (52) and points (102). A Titan Turbo model twig with "M. Gartner" stamped over the lower shaft that has also had his number "11" penned over the upper shaft in black marker ink, the stick retains its original tape job of white cloth over black around the knob, white cloth around the handle and black around the blade. Retaining a date stamp reading "JAN 29 1985" on the underside of the lower shaft, the stick displays game use via a number of black coloured shafts throughout the shaft that are heaviest over the lower shaft while the same areas show a number of other abrasions as well. With the bottom ring of cloth tape around the handle loose from age, wear/tearing is seen to the underside of the blade tape, which also shows a few light marks and other tatters over both sides also.
