Cut from cereal boxes during the 1963-64 and 1964-65 NHL season, we offer this lot consisting of various Chex cereal hockey photos, which includes a complete set of thirty-nine (39) from 1963-64 and a near-complete set from 1964-65 which includes thirty-one (31) of thirty-three (33) of the images needed for a finished assembly, with nine (9) having been graded by PSA. For the 1964-65 set, profiling players of the Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens, the group is missing only the Montreal photos of Hicke and Hodge while including PSA graded examples of Glenn Hall, Red Hay, Wayne Hillman, Pierre Pilote, Ken Wharram, Bill Gadsby, Paul Henderson, Bruce MacGregor and Pit Martin, which have all been deemed to be "AUTHENTIC" after evaluation. For the rest of the group, included are the likes of Phil Esposito (surface wear and scratches plus a stain on the reverse), Bobby Hull (rough right edge and creases), Chico Maki (light surface wear and scratches plus a light tape mark on the reverse), Stan Mikita (light surface wear and scratches), Moose Vasko (light surface wear and scratches plus a light tape mark on the reverse), Alex Delvecchio (signed and pen marks), Gordie Howe (surface wear and scratches, bottom left corner stain and corner dings), Parker MacDonald (light surface wear and scratches plus a tape mark over the reverse), Marcel Pronovost (light surface wear and scratches plus creases, light corner wear, paper loss and a tape mark on the reverse), Norm Ullman (light surface wear and scratches), Ralph Backstrom (light surface wear and scratches plus tape mark on the reverse), Dave Balon (surface wear and indents plus tape marks on the reverse), Jean Beliveau (light surface wear and scratches and rough left edge), John Ferguson (surface wear and indents plus tape marks on the reverse - undersized), Terry Harper (light surface wear and scratches plus tape mark and light paper loss on the reverse), Jacques Laperriere (light surface wear and scratches - creases and tape mark on the reverse), Claude Provost (worn throughout plus rough left edge, pen marks on the reverse and stains), Henri Richard (nice but rough left edge), Bobby Rousseau (light surface wear and scratches plus heavy foxing), Jean Guy Talbot (many pinholes) and J. C. Tremblay (many pinholes). Of note, the photos of both sets all sport marks/light stains over their reverses and some are still larger box panels that were not cut down.
