One of the most popular sets among vintage collectors, especially those seeking out cardboard from the era of the 1960s, O-Pee-Chee's 1968-69 release is the subject of discussion here, with this starter set being offered here featuring 162 of the 216 cards that make up the checklist. Largely in a low-grade state throughout its entirety, mostly falling into the range of VG with about 10% of the cards in a lower state than that and about 10% of the cards in a higher condition state as well, the key cards include the likes of; 29-Howe (VG to VG-EX - corner wear), 34-Sawchuk (FR to G - creased), 111-Hall (VG to VG-EX - off-center and corner wear), 140-Cheevers (GOOD - small crease and corner wear), 142-Unger RC (G to VG - border wear), 155-Mikita (G to VG - tiny scuff on the reverse), 164-Vachon (G to VG - corner wear), 165-Richard (GOOD - crease at left side), 166-Beliveau (GOOD - crease at bottom left), 181-Plante (GOOD - crease bottom right), 200-Orr AS (GOOD - crease at top right), 203-Howe AS (VG to VG-EX - off-center and wear to the top left corner), 204-Hull AS (GOOD - factory wrinkle at bottom right corner), 208-P. Esposito AS (FR to G - large crease that shows more on the reverse), 214-Orr Norris Trophy (GOOD - corner wear and a small crease). Of note, the starter assembly is missing important cards including 1-Harvey, 2-Orr, 16-Hull, 61-Checklist 1, 62-Cournoyer, 67-Giacomin, 89-Parent rookie, 121-Checklist and 213-Sanderson AW as well as the special Howe 700th goal card. Also including a group of fifty-two (52) extra cards of the same release, which includes duplication throughout, included in the extras are noteworthy cards including; 29-Howe (FR to G - creased), 155-Mikita (FR to G - pair of damaged corners), 181-Plante (FR to G - crease and wax stain) and 200-Orr AS (FR to G - crease at the bottom and corner damage).
