The late Roy Halladay left a Hall of Fame legacy when he died all too soon at the age of 40 in 2017. A two-time Cy Young Award winner and an 8-time all-star, Halladay was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2019. The Toronto Blue Jays retired his No. 32 and the Philadelphia Phillies retired his No. 34. Offered are two autographed 8x10 photos of Halladay in action with the Blue Jays, with whom he won his first Cy Young in 2003 when he led MLB with 22 wins. Each of the two photos is accompanied by its respective JSA Basic Cert. “Doc” placed a big bold black marker autograph along with his “#32” on a photo of him raring back to fire a strike in his black Blue Jays uniform. Halladay signed in bold black marker above his right leg on a photo of him wearing No. 52 for the Blue Jays, which he only wore in 1998, when he made his first two starts for Toronto, going 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA, 13 strikeouts in 14 innings. Halladay’s second start on Sept. 28, 1998 was his only home start for the Jays in his pre-rookie season. He pitched a one-hitter, missing out on a no-hitter and shutout when Detroit’s Bobby Higginson hit a two-out home in the ninth before Halladay completed his first MLB complete game. Each photo has a JSA sticker affixed to the bottom right corner.
